Ten Tips To Weight Loss


It has been the concern of physicians around the world about the increasing numbers of complaints among their patients that are related to obesity such as hypertension, diabetes and heart diseases. Obesity is literally defined as the weight above the normal range according to age and height of the person.

A great percentage of people around the world is linked to obesity. This problem is expected to augment in the future years if the unhealthy lifestyle among people is continuously prevailing. Other factors contributing to obesity are eating processed foods, lack of exercise, high fat content foods and hereditary. The presence of numerous and various fast food chains is also linked. Most of the foods catered are high in fats and sodium which are the primary cause of obesity. Because of this, different weight loss programs and weight loss tips are emerging and offered through advertisements in the internet, magazines, newspapers, television, radio and etc. The government also made an effort by forming agencies or conducting activities such as health education and exercise programs. Most importantly, self-awareness and discipline among the affected individuals are the key to revert obesity. In this article,  I will enumerate some but most important weight loss tips on how to obtain an ideal weight.
  1.  This has been the rule of the thumb among nutritionists. Eat heavy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner. The appropriate amount of food intake is very essential to meet the recommended daily caloric intake of an individual.
  2. Used the energy converted from eating on exercises and other active activities. This is to prevent the conversion of unused energy into fats.
  3. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday. This is the most common tip that even a common individual knows about it. Having a large amount of water in your stomach prevents you to eat extra foods thus no calories are added up.
  4. Avoid foods that contain high in fats and salt.
  5. Eat foods high in fiber. This helps to prevent any gastrointestinal problems. High fiber foods also prevent weight gain because of the residues.
  6. Moderate carbohydrates and high protein plus exercise. Carbohydrates is known for it's high energy value but because of lack of exercise more energy is wasted and formed into fats. Protein resolves this problem since it is known to preserve muscle mass and helps in fat burning.
  7. Include your favorite food in your meal but in control. If you used to eat foods at a large amount, cut it into moderation.
  8. Choose a good choice for your midnight snacks. Avoid foods that are too sweet and high in fats.
  9. When you are stress, avoid food as your comfort. There are more non-food options for you to choose. You will probably wonder one day your pants are getting tighter if you eat and eat during stress days.
  10. Spice up your food with your favorite spices. These help to obtain faster satisfaction during meal time.

All these weight loss tips given are easy to do if you discipline yourself. These are basics but a good start in maintaining and controlling desirable weight.
